Heat-Transfer Media

- The cheapest and most effective heat transfer medium (brine) is ‘water’.

- However, depending on the operating conditions or outside temperature, water freezes below 0℃, freezing the device or making it inoperable, and it corrodes the metal of the device and shortens its lifespan.

- To compensate for this freezing problem, MEG (Mono Ethylene Glycol) or PG (Propylene Glycol) is generally added as the heat-transfer medium, but due to its strong corrosiveness, it shortens the life of the device and reduces the heat transfer effect due to the generation of foreign substances, requiring a special liquid (brine) to prevent it.

- KD Finechem heat-transfer media have been developed by studying the device characteristics and operating conditions of ice thermal storage air conditioners, absorption gas air conditioners, solar heating systems, and indirect refrigeration facilities. The products are innovative heat transfer media (brine) that semi-permanently protect the device with their excellent antifreeze performance and excellent physicochemical stability and guarantee the highest heat transfer efficiency.

- As the product is made form high-purity raw materials, it has an excellent anti-freezing effect.

- The special additives contained in the product prevent metal corrosion even at low concentrations (more than 30%) to prolong the life of the device.

- The special additives do not react with the hard water components in tap water, and therefore, foreign substances are not generated.

- Since the degree of deterioration of the liquid varies according to the operating conditions, it can be used for a long time by checking the condition and concentration of the liquid.

- It suppresses the bubbles generated in the fluid flow and increases the thermal conductivity.

- It does not form a film on the heat transfer surface, so the heat transfer effect is great.

- The range of usable temperatures is wide. (-45℃ - 95℃)
